ABOUT THE EVENT
The Run for the Cheetah is a fun event designed to raise awareness about the endangered cheetah and to raise funds to support the Cheetah Conservation Fund's programs.
In concert with CCF's commitment to conservation, every effort will be made to organize, plan and implement this event as a Green Run.

KID'S DASH INFORMATION
The kid's dash is a non-competitive fun event for children 10 and under. Everyone is a winner! A ribbon will be provided to all children who participate at the end of the event. National Geographic Kids magazines will be given out courtesy of National Geographic.

5 and under - 50yd dash
6-7year olds - 75 yd. dash
8-10year olds. - 100 yd. dash.

NOTE: All children will be required to register.

TIMING & RESULTS
All competitors [runners and walkers] in the 5k will receive a Timing Chip to be picked up at the designated table at the start of the race. You may pick this up at the same time as you pick up your t-shirt and race packet. You must wear the Chip on your shoe [per the instructions on the packet] if you want to receive your race time. Any participant who does not wear the Chip on their running shoe will not receive a finish result. Also, the Chip must be returned at the conclusion of the event or pay a $30.00 replacement fee. [See waiver]. If you do not wish to be timed, simply do not pick up a Chip just prior to race time.
Lakeshore Athletic Services will be managing the timing of this event and the reporting of finish times.

Race results are available after the run and will be posted on the race website.

AWARDS
The overall male and female winners will be announced at 10:00 a.m. All other results will be posted on the event Web site following the race.

The Cheetah Conservation Fund is selling commemorative posters for $25.00. Posters are available for purchase at the CCF Web site - www.cheetah.org
